batch 22 is a Los Angeles-based cookie company known for its seasonal menu items, deliciously unique flavors, and giant “pudge” cookies.

Looking to launch a future storefront, batch 22 bakery came to us for a brand refresh, website design, and Shopify build for easy ordering. We developed a brand and website that could support the company’s growth online and in person. We aligned on key brand elements that needed to remain and the feelings that should be evoked when coming to the storefront.

We created the logo to include an evolved version of the hero “pudge” character. We also created brand guidelines with multi-platform design use cases, hand-drawn-feeling typography, a vibrant color scheme named after the cookie flavors, and hand-drawn illustrations. Thanks to the branding, these one-of-a-kind pudge cookies could now own their big, but playful personality.

Once the branding was finalized, we used Figma to map out the strategic layouts and messaging that would improve order experiences and build a strong brand following. Our final Shopify website showcased a timeline to reveal the flavor innovation process, a cookie diary blog to showcase the brainstorming phases, and an exclusive group to drive more community engagement.
