Kempt Skin offers a three-step hair removal system, consisting of a pre-dermaplane jelly for a cooling, smooth shave, an ergonomic dermablade pen, and a facial hair minimizing serum that targets all three stages of hair growth and slows regrowth.

Our team used research signal testing to determine the target audience personas and brand and product positioning. In our research results, the facial hair minimizing serum outperformed the other two products by a landslide. This informed our decision to focus on one hero product instead of selling all three products as a set. We also used our research to build a strategy around marketing hair removal as skincare for the first time.

The research provided a clear direction for how to design our Figma wireframe and Shopify e-commerce website in effort to maximize add-to-carts and conversions. We chose to hero the facial hair minimizing serum and the innovative science behind the product. We incorporated the highest-performing imagery from ad testing, custom benefit icons, and infographics to illustrate Kempt’s science in a customer-facing, engaging, and informative way.
